GLOBAL COVID-19 CASES REACH 5 MILLION

The global death toll from Covid-19 topped 5 million on Monday, less than 2 years into the pandemic.
This is according to figures tallied by Johns Hopkins University, which put the toll at 5,001,817 as of 7:20am today.
The number of total infections at that time was 246,811,481.
